2006 PJCI Annual Party • April 1, 2006
| The Annual Party was held in the auditorium of the PJCI. All enjoyed bento and entertainment provided by the Fujima Kansuma Classical Japanese Dance School. Several of the dancers are "local" students. The annual awards were presented to our local students. | |

Amy
Utsunomiya is awarded to deserving youth from the community that are nominated for contributions they have made volunteering to local organizations. 2006
Recipients are: This award was established by the Utsunomiya family in honor of Amy's life. Amy was always active in the community, volunteering time, establishing and running the summer Matsuri youth camp. Not only did she work on promoting culture to the youth, she was also very instrumental in establishing the Pasadena Senior Group. |
Tak Sera Scholarship The Tak Sera scholarship is awarded to deserving high school seniors who have been active in PJCI activities. This year the scholarship was awarded to Lauren Takeda. She is a senior at Flintridge Prep. Her parents are Bryan and Jeri Takeda. Lauren attended the Pasadena Gakuen and the Rising Stars program. She is frequently seen at the Pasadena Nikkei Senior activities helping set-up or volunteer her time. This scholarship was established by the family of Mr. Tak Sera who was a long standing member of the community. |
