WELCOME ASIAN AMERICAN CYBERNAUTS!
Within this immense international INTERconnected NETwork of computers, Asian Americans are alive, active, and articulate. Communicating over the music of modems and the tapping of computer keyboards, a poetry of electronic culture emerges from Asian America. Venture out onto the hidden alleys and avenues of the information superhighway, and become an Asian American "cybernaut".
A "cybernaut" is like an astronaut -- an explorer, a dreamer pushing the envelope of "cyberspace" into the new world of information. They are voyagers like our immigrant Asian parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and "boat people" who came to America without knowing what to expect. Saluting the spirit of Sulu, we explore strange new worlds, and boldly go to where no one has gone before.
